  • Harpers Fitness Launch Harpers Heroes Awards

    08-Apr-09

There may be Miss World and Mr Universe, which celebrates the crème de la crème of the body beautiful but it’s about time the average Joe’s of this world were recognised. To do just that, Harpers Fitness, the name of community, public access sport and leisure in the UK is launching a new awards programme to celebrate the achievements of the great British public.

The Harpers Heroes Awards has now officially launched and is open to all Harpers Fitness customers. We are encouraging all customers to enter the awards via the Harpers Fitness website at www.harpersfitness.co.uk for the chance to win some fantastic prizes and be recognised for their achievements.

The awards will culminate in a glitzy ceremony that will take place at the end of the year at the historic and prestigious Bisham Abbey, which is part of the Harpers Fitness portfolio.

We are very proud of our members and users for the hard work they put in to leading a more active and healthy lifestyle and we wanted to launch an awards programme to reward and recognise them. We welcome approximately 20 million people into our centres each year and everyone has their own story to tell and their own success to share. We want to hear about those achievements – however big or small and we will recognise and celebrate them.

There are some fantastic success stories across our centres and we want to encourage members from all walks to life to enter. Maybe they have beaten the bulge or used exercise to overcome a health issue or have managed to improve their families’ fitness through exercising together. We hope the awards will inspire and motivate other Harpers Fitness members to achieve their fitness goals.

The awards have been split the awards into five categories which are detailed on www.harpersfitness.co.uk.

The deadline for entry and nominations is Friday 11th September 2009.... good luck!
