About me:


I have always been very interested in health and fitness, I think this has come from an early age as I have played football for some time now and I feel this is were I first began to enjoy the fitness side of football; I enjoy meeting new people and find fitness training as a great medium to do so. I chose the fitness industry because I love interacting with new people and helping them reach their goals.
 

Qualification:


I have an NVQ award in level 3 advanced fitness instructor and personal trainer, including exercise and fitness knowledge. I also have a qualification in nutrition so I can give nutritional advice if necessary. I also have my National pool lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) so I am comfortable in a swimming pool environment and will happily do a personal training session in the water.
 

Experience:


I have been in the fitness industry for about 2 years now, I feel that my knowledge within the industry has grown since I have been here and I think my methods and techniques are very up to date and I know I can add something new to all my clients current session plans.
 

Hobbies:


I am a very keen football player, but I am an all-rounder and so enjoy all sports. Of course my other hobby would be working out in the gym.

About me

I am a very athletic person and a sports enthusiast; I am extremely talkative I am very sociable and find that in the fitness industry I can really interact with people. The reason I chose to be a personal trainer is because I loved the idea of finding out about how the body works as it fascinates me, and helping people hit their targets as if they hit them I feel I have accomplished something as well. I also relish the chance to take on a challenge
Qualifications

I have a NVQ level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructing and Personal Training qualification, I have also got a nutrition award so I am able to give food dairies and nutritional advice; I am first aid trained and have a national pool lifeguard qualification (NPLQ). I also studied and completed a national diploma in public services and so I have a good adverse opinion on subjects and also competed in lots of fitness training and circuit training.
Experience

I have now been the Health and Fitness Manager here for about a year and am really enjoying this experience I feel I have developed as a person and as a Trainer. The methods and techniques I use are all up to date, but I really enjoy finding new exercises for my clients. I hope to add something new to my client’s gym regimes and enjoy watching my clients grow in confidence and physical fitness as we drive towards there goals.
Hobbies

My main hobbies are playing football and tennis both of these I played at a very high standard, I also enjoy playing rugby with my mates but one of my main hobbies now is working and working out in the gym as it gives me a satisfied feeling afterwards

James Tovey

Personal Trainer

About me:
I am a very active person and enjoy taking part in many sporting activities such as
martial arts, swimming and rock climbing. I have seen first hand clients achieving their
goals and find it very rewarding to be a part of that process. I enjoy finding new ways
of exercise as I know how tedious it can be to do the same routine and not to see
any results.

Qualifications:

I currently hold an NVQ level 2 Gym Instructor, First Aid At Work, Paediatrics First Aid,
Pool Plant Operations and I am a qualified Life Guard. I hold numerous certificates in
Technical Knowledge and I am currently studying an NVQ level 3 in Advanced Fitness
Instructing and Nutrition.

Experience:

I have worked within the Fitness industry for 6 years and having worked in many leisure
centres and fitness suites. I have now been working at Westminster Lodge since 2007
in many roles including Sales and Managerial roles. In my time in leisure I have come
to understand that it is a very quick moving industry and there is new information and
techniques being introduced all the time.

Hobbies:

I am a member of Marshalswick Judo club and have done many gradings over the
years and also fought at National events. I also have a daughter who was born in
August 2008 and she takes up most of my spare time.
