I have worked within the leisure and fitness industry for 9 years and started working as a lifeguard and recreation attendant at the Castle Sports Complex in Spalding. Since then I have worked as a fitness instructor and personal trainer for 4 years and also taught classes such as spinning and body pump. I love my job, and helping people achieve their goals is so rewarding. I am now working as the Health and Fitness manager here at the Harpers at The Peele Leisure Centre and I have successfully completed courses in Nutrition and GP Referrals. I have recently qualified as an exercise to music instructor so I am now able to teach aerobics classes.
I have always enjoyed sports and keeping active. I take part in sports such as swimming, running, badminton and aerobics.
James BeckFrom the age of 12 I began running for Nene valley harriers and competed at county level. In September 2006 I attended Stamford College for a year studying sport and leisure. There I gained many qualifications in coaching and leadership which encouraged me to start work in the leisure industry. I am very interested in fitness and enjoy writing personal exercise programmes for myself and others.

I enjoy going to the gym and rugby, where I used to play for Fenland Barbarians in 2005.
Karen LovettI have always been sport and fitness driven. Attending Stamford College for 3 years, gaining a leisure and tourism national diploma. Worked at summer schemes, venture camps and that’s when I choose fitness as my career. I’m a person who is full of energy, and I will work hard to ensure people enjoy their workouts and reach their goals. Now only part-time because my other love is my little girl.

I have worked in the leisure and fitness industry for the past 15 years, I love instructing and getting people reaching their goals. Starting as a lifeguard and swimming teacher, I then moved to working in the gym, teaching a full range of classes, and working on the GPR scheme. This was followed by co-ordinating a pilot scheme called Fit Kids, working with children who have physical, mental or emotional problems.
I love to swim as it has always been my sport. Enjoy cooking, gardening and being a mum.
