Adam Reading

Personal Trainer
About me:

From a young age I have always had a love of playing and being involved in many different sports. I have played both golf and football at county level and I am now very much involved in playing rugby, at quite a high standard, for a local team. To date I have played in various positions, on the wing, as a full back and more recently as fly half. I also assist in the training sessions, advising the coaches and team members on correct warm up techniques. My interest in sports has led me on a journey into the fitness industry as a personal trainer, which broadened my understanding of correct training and now gives me the opportunity to improve other people’s fitness, wellbeing and life style.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 Personal Trainer
Qualified Nutritionist
NVQ Level 2 Fitness Instructor
BTECH National Diploma in Sport
First Aid at work

Experience:

I started working for Harpers in January 2008 after becoming a qualified fitness instructor in December 2007. This year I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the members at Harpers in achieving their specific individual goals. I have started working on a one to one basis with clients and have had a fantastic response from them as they see themselves achieve great results very quickly. I have recently been appointed as the Harpers Health and Fitness manager here at St Crispin’s and my personal goal is to take the gym to new levels, with a fantastic team of fitness professionals, who will offer the very highest standard of training.

Hobbies:

As you may have guessed my upmost hobbies are leading a healthy lifestyle, keeping fit and keeping my body in top shape. I keep my training specific to playing rugby, weight training for strength and plenty of power training for speed. When I am not training hard I enjoy relaxing, whether that is going skiing, having a round of golf, listening to music or having a cheeky pint with the lads.

My knowledge and interest in fitness, health and performance have improved immensely since starting as a fitness instructor. This knowledge and a balanced combination of personal interests ranging from skiing to football, along with my professional career in the fitness industry has given
me a desire to better myself as a person and share this experience and passion with others.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 Fitness Instructor

Experience:

I began working at Harpers on the 1st September 2008. In this short time as a Fitness Instructor I have taken interest in a variety of clients all whom have different goals and aspirations. These goals range from improving all round fitness and wellbeing, to weight loss for increased self esteem and confidence and mainly the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. I feel that with my help I can help people achieve their goals faster and make them feel better about themselves. My experience and know-how in training techniques for high intensity and physically demanding sports like skiing, and team sports like football, have given me a well rounded base for helping a wide range of people achieve their personal goals.
