Harpers Fitness in partnership with Durham County Council is launching its Winter Weight Loss Challenge next week at Peterlee Leisure Centre and Seaham Leisure Centre.
Harpers Fitness is encouraging customers and members to start their festive fitness regime on Monday 7th December by coming into their nearest gym and entering this challenge to win a fantastic prize in January. Users will be weighed and measured by a member of Harpers staff, who will record your weight, BMI (Body Mass Index) and measure your hips, chest and waist and offer some words of weight loss encouragement as well as giving them helpful hints tips and advice on how to slim down for Christmas.
Member of Peterlee Leisure Centre Katie Laverick, who won the Shape category at this year’s Harpers Heroes Awards in October is also offering motivational and inspirational tips for determined dieters.
“I’m so pleased to be involved with Harpers Fitness and Durham County Council and the Winter Weight Loss challenge. Having a goal or a treat at the end of the tunnel always helps spur you on to go that extra mile. Christmas can often be a difficult time to keep your exercise routine in check with all the present wrapping and mince pie making!”
“A treat in the New Year is something to keep us all going, and an extra excuse to buy something nice to wear!”
