Centred in the heart of the community, Riverside Leisure Centre in Morpeth, offers something for everyone. With a range of different activities we are confident that we have the right activity for you. Whether you are older or younger, new to exercise and physical activity or a keen fitness enthusiast, our dedicated team of trained staff can advise you on the most appropriate activity or membership package to suit you and your lifestyle.
With a fully equipped fitness suite, a large dance studio offering various aerobics, dance and spinning classes and indoor sports hall for a variety of sports including football, basketball, badminton as well as lots of classes, River Leisure Centre in Morpeth offers excellent facilities for the whole community to enjoy and benefit from.
We also run a very popular Swim School which is open to both adults and children, whether at a beginners or advanced stage and hold regular Aqua fitness classes.
Harpers Gym Fitness Suite
Our fitness suite offer one of the most state of the art gym experiences in Morpeth, which contains 50 different pieces of gym equipment. The gym is air conditioned and features a large selection of free weights for toning and a warm up area also include stability balls.

Swim School
We operate our excellent learn to swim programme across 48 weeks of the year. All Swim school classes are structured so that they operate to the guidelines set by the Amateur Swimming Association's (ASA) National Plan for Teaching Swimming.
Adult Swimming Lessons
We also offer lessons for beginners and improvers throughout the week either during the day or in the evening.
