About me:

I am a very competitive and optimistic individual, and I believe that physical and mental determination can reach any goal. I enjoy seeing others reach their goals as well as reaching my own, and Personal Training gives me the opportunity to take part in my client’s path to success.

Experience:

I have worked as a fi tness instructor at The Meadhurst Club since the start of 2007, I have worked with members developing their programme to fi t their needs and reach their goals. I have also worked as a children’s fitness and sports coach since June 2003, I have worked on their sporting
technique and built sessions to improve their all round fitness.

Hobbies:

I have a sports orientated lifestyle, mostly football or tennis but am keen to participate in most sports as I love keeping active. I enjoy spending my spare time socialising with family and friends, and enjoying life as a whole.

 


 

Dale Irvine

About me:

I have had many years experience as a top league squash player and long distance runner. I have completed 4 marathons and many half marathons. I’m a very active person who continues to push myself and others. I will monitor you closely and progress you to the next level. But as a former IT professional I’m also familiar with trying to fi nd a good life-work balance.

Experience:

I have been weight training and cardio training for over 20 years and have experience to pass on and help assist others to transform their lifestyle too. I have trained many people over the years, and helped with their nutrition. As well as being a fully qualifi ed Personal Trainer since February 2002, I have also been a fully qualifi ed Sports Injury massage therapist since May 2002 and I have a reputation for giving a very relieving deep tissue massage.

About me:

I have always had a keen interest in sport and fitness, competing at county level football and athletics and studying sport science at college. I am currently in my second year Bsc in Sports Rehabilitation. I am very hard working and dedicated to helping you achieve your fi tness goals. I adopt a friendly and motivational approach and believe fitness and wellbeing should be a part of everyone’s life.

Experience:

I have been working at Meadhurst for almost 2 years now as a gym instructor and have since gained my qualifi cations as a Personal Trainer and Sports Masseuse. For the past year I have taught studio cycle sessions and now teach 3 weekly classes at the club. Working at Meadhurst has given me a wide range of experience dealing with different individual goals, fitness enquiries and injuries. I have been part of the Register of Exercise Professionals for the last year.

Hobbies:

When I’m not working in the gym I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also spend a lot of time studying at university. I train in the gym when possible but always save time for socialising and relaxing.

 


 

Michael Armstrong

About me:

I pride myself on my friendly, enthusiastic and passionate approach to fi tness and healthy living; I like to promote a positive mental attitude to all categories of fi tness. I take great pride in helping others achieve their goals. Firm support, motivation and guidance are my key to success.

Experience:

I have 7 years experience with the British army as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI), where I trained soldiers with various abilities to obtain peak fi tness in tough climates and conditions. I have also worked as a PTI in HMP Bronzefield for  18 months.

Hobbies:

I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping active in the process. Whilst working on my own Personal Training I enjoy learning and trialing new techniques with the aims of passing on benefi ts to my clients. I like to maintain a balance of socialising and fi nding time to relax.

About me:

I like to think of myself as a laid back, happy and friendly person. I have always been very keen on sports and fitness and have been highly involved for many years of my life. I enjoy keeping fi t and play competitively in sports including football and cricket. I am enthusiastic, fun and always try to make my sessions enjoyable and benefi cial for each individual, working around goals such as tone, stamina, fat loss or muscle gain. I can create an enjoyable programme to fit an individual’s needs and goals. I am a competitive person that enjoys a challenge and have good motivation skills to
help others achieve their goals and enjoy themselves!

Experience:

I have worked as a gym instructor at the Meadhurst club since 2006 giving me well over 2 years experience working as an instructor. I have been working with various types of members, writing programmes, giving detailed advice and helping them achieve their goals. I am now completing my personal trainer level 3 and level 2 exercise to music.

Hobbies:

I am very outgoing and love playing sports such as football and cricket and have interests in others including squash and tennis. I also have always been very keen on acting and performing; this has and hopefully always will be a big part of my life. I also enjoy using the gym, watching sport, going out with friends, relaxing and listening to music.

I’m a highly motivated individual who loves helping people achieve their targets. I’m a very enthusiastic and passionate person when it comes to health and fi tness. I started off working in a Richmond college gym in 2007; then left to work in the YMCA gym in Surbiton. I then applied for the Fitness Instructor vacancy at The Meadhurst Health Club in Sunbury and have been helping members and clients improve their strength and fi tness as well as weight
loss management.

Hobbies:

I enjoy socialising with my friends and family. I’m a keen fan of circuit and weight training and enjoy playing football, especially five aside. To relax I like to watch fi lms and listen to varied types of music.

 


Anthony Powell

I take health and fitness very seriously. I have kept myself fit and active ever since I can remember. I’ve played in various football, athletics & volleyball teams, swam for my
county, and always enjoyed competing. I don’t know anyone who has achieved their fitness goals just by thinking about them. You have to make a commitment and get the
right professional motivation and guidance.

Qualifications:

I qualified as a REPs level 3 Personal Trainer & Sports Masseur in 2001. Since then I have also become qualified as a Master Bosu trainer, Acupressure massage, Body Pump, RPM,
Body Combat, Circuits and I am first aid trained. I will be GP referral qualified this year too.

Experience:

I have worked within the fitness industry since 2001 in a variety of health clubs. I’ve
continually developed my skills and experience through courses and reading. I
understand what it takes to achieve specific fitness goals & have helped numerous
clients do exactly that. I was a Studio Manager for a year before becoming a Health and
Fitness Manager in 2006.

Hobbies:

Currently I enjoy playing golf, cycling and watching a good movie.

Experience:

I have been involved in various sports since childhood.
I started weight training in 1998 and first worked in the retail
side of the fitness industry in 2001. In 2004 I began work
as a gym instructor, starting at Meadhurst in 2005. In 2008
I combined my knowledge of functional exercise with my
martial arts background to give strength and conditioning
training to members of the Police force, and more recently to
Mixed Martial Artists/Submission wrestlers who have since
gone on to win gold medals at national championships.

Hobbies:

I enjoy training and studying martial arts/ reality based
combat methods. I have trained to various levels in Kung Fu,
Kickboxing, Filipino Martial Arts, Self-Protection, Jeet Kune Do,
Progressive Fighting Systems, and the Russian martial art of
Systema. My primary fitness interest is functional, corrective
and holistic exercise. I also enjoy the outdoors and have spent
a lot of time camping and surfing.
