I really enjoy meeting new people and the challenge of helping them improve their fitness through personal training and lifestyle education. It gives me a great sense of achievement when
I help people reach their goals. I get immense job satisfaction from teaching spinning. On a personal level, my passion is running.

I started working at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre in 1992 working in the crèche. I achieved my gym qualification in 1994 and started working as a gym instructor on a part time basis, over the
next few years I qualified as a spinning teacher and took over the 50+ group and achieved my level 2 then 3 qualification to enable me to become a personal trainer.
I enjoy an outdoor lifestyle including boating and running. I ran the London Marathon in 2000 for a local charity and have run more than 20 half marathons. I also enjoy socialising, eating out and organising social events for the 50+ gym members as well as friends and family.

As well as being a Personal Trainer here at Loddon Valley, I am a normal busy mum and housewife. I really enjoy my work and have been a member of Harpers since 2000 when I was really out of
shape and depressed and through exercise and proper nutrition I was able to really improve by sense of well being and self-esteem. In this way I hope that people can feel that they can relate to me and I can help them to achieve their goals.
I started working in Harpers (Loddon Valley) in April 2009 as a part-time Fitness Consultant when I was made redundant from the IT industry. I decided then to become a Personal Trainer instead of
being stuck behind a desk all day and I haven’t regretted it once as I love meeting new people and am keen to make exercise fun, safe, enjoyable and above all effective.
When I’m not working in the gym, I spend most of my free time working out in the gym with friends or participating in various classes such as Body Combat and Body Balance. For me, exercise is not only important for fitness, I believe that it plays a major role in how I deal with stress and everyday life.

After finishing school I decided to pursue my ambition to work within the sports industry. I did
this by going straight into a gym instructor course at Windsor Leisure Centre. After completing
my course I wrote myself a fitness plan, and although I was not in the best of shape, I learnt the
correct techniques, how to help improve my fitness through regular training and healthy eating.
This has helped me increase my cardio fitness and lose weight.

I completed in October 2008. I have also started teaching spinning and circuit classes which
I have found great enjoyment in.
My main sport hobbies are teaching spinning and playing football. I also enjoy doing
2-3 sessions of cardio and weights every week to keep fit. Outside of the gym I enjoy my nights
out meeting up with friends and socialising.
