Steve BlakemanHaving accidently fallen into the fitness industry at the age of 16 I have never looked back. I have
spent the last 3 years studying a degree in fitness and personal training and am a die-hard gym
enthusiast. My training goals vary from trying to trim down and bulk up for the summer to improving
my fitness for yearly races that I enter, and for these reasons you will rarely find me out of the gym.
My enthusiasm and motivation for fitness is reflected in my style of training and has made me the
personal trainer that I am.

Having spent 3 years at University studying a degree focused around fitness I have developed
my skills on many components from nutrition and weight loss to sport and conditioning. Before
University I worked at our neighbouring gym Harpers St Crispin’s gaining knowledge and skills
throughout my employment.
I enjoy a wide variety of sports including football, rugby and tennis. Although most of my sporting
enjoyment comes from watching TV, I play in a 5 a-side football league once a week. I also enjoy
running and enter the ‘Tough Guy’ challenge on a yearly basis, a 10k run followed by a 30+ piece
obstacle course.

Joel MarrMy background heavily consists of sporting or fitness activities and I have always been
happy to partake in anything, from football to cross-country running. After completing my
A-Levels I knew a career in sport/fitness was what I wanted to do. My personal training
course has given me the opportunity to be in an industry that I am so passionate about.

During my course I had to work with a variety of people differing in age, weight and

I enjoy taking part in anything that requires being physically active and involves
competition. This includes playing football, lifting weights and running to choose but
a few. Away from exercise I like to keep up-to-date with the latest news and enjoy
the company of my friends, family and the opportunity to meet new people.
