Alongside my training and Neuromuscular Therapy, I am a passionate motorcyclist, Rescue Diver and skier. Training and teaching is holistic, attaining wellbeing by re-educating an individual’s perception of regular exercise and correct nutrition, leading to sustainable results and a lot of fun.
My personal training certification was gained with the Y.M.C.A and Fitness Professionals. I qualified in Neuromuscular Therapy and Orthopaedic Sports Therapy at the National Training Centre in Dublin and I am a member of the Association of Neuromuscular Therapists. I am also a Karate Instructor and Indoor Cycling Instructor.
My career started while still working in the City, and in 1997, I decided to pursue exercise, health and nutrition full-time. To date my work has taken me to Canada, France and Ireland, in such roles as Karate Instructor, Gym Manager and Personal Trainer, working with tri-athletes, skiers, martial artists, pre/post natal, injury/cancer rehabilitation, and those that wish to gain or lose weight.

I have worked with the best of British sport in terms of medical, sports science and conditioning support. I have also participated in consultancy work for other sports such as the England cricket team and have been a part of a system that has produced Britain’s most successful Olympic sport. I am experienced in offering weight management and very experienced in endurance training. I enjoy working with athletes and can target sports specific training programmes as well as helping clients who are new to exercise. I have worked for Harpers since 2004 and before that helped manage a brand new University sports facility whilst still competing myself.
I enjoy most sports, but favourites are road cycling, surfing and skiing. I used to play rugby when I was younger but now love watching all divisions of the game from the premiership to the lower leagues.
Natilie Alford10 years kickboxing has rewarded me with 3 British Ladies Titles. However I find running (hope to complete a marathon next year) and growing my own organic veg with the help of my dog Bear, just as challenging! My main area of expertise is weight management and I aim to make exercise as fun and effective as possible!

I have been working in the Fitness Industry for various gyms around the area for six years as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. This has helped to broaden my knowledge base and allowed me to cater for all clients’ individual needs. Various goals I have helped clients achieve go from weight management and strength training to core stability and sport specifics. I place an emphasis on variety in my regimes and try to make no two routines the same. While at University I have also had access to a variety of sports coaching within team sports, which allows me to help provide some specific drill routines to compliment the overall training.
I enjoy most sports and have recently taken up racket sports but my passion lies within team sports. I have been known to try my hand at surfing and white water rafting. I also enjoy spending time working out both inside and out of the gym.

Born in Norway and moved to the Netherlands as a teenager, I have always been active in outdoor sports and activities. After I finished my schooling and started my career in different office roles, I discovered my passion for motivating people and spending time working out at the gym. In 2007, I decided to put my passion to use and become a personal trainer to help others find the motivation to live a healthy and sportiy lifestyle.
