Extreme NK is a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) funded inititative, hosted by Leisure Connection, which has been running since August 2006.
 

Learn parkour

Back for another term, parkour classes are set to return to North Hykeham!  Over the last year, the popularity of parkour classes has taken the NK Centre in the town by storm!  The classes are overseen by Lincs Parkour.

Youngsters aged 9 to 19 years can develop their skills under the watchful eye of trained coaches. The sessions take place every Saturday from 4pm to 6pm, and cost just £3.50.

Parkour can help develop spatial awareness, agility and fitness. Youngsters are encouraged to improve their skills through an awards system at weekly classes.

The sport has, of course, received much media attention in recent years, including James Bond’s escapades in Casino Royale.

Parkour classes at the NK Centre in North Hykeham are organised and supported by ExtremeNK. ExtremeNK works throughout the North Kesteven district to encourage young people to try new sports and divert them from anti social activities.

Extreme Sports

Extreme NK offers young people aged 9 - 19 years the opportunity to experience more adventurous activities. All children within the North Kesteven district are welcome to participate in the activities on offer.

Youth Referral Programme

The youth referral programme, in conjunction with Caythorpe PGL centre is currently underway. The programme offers ways of teaching young people respect for themselves and others. It also allows the young people to have lots of fun and meet new people. The participants take part in a variety of challenging activities that are specifically chosen to tackle a problem that the individuals may encounter.

Mobile Facilities
 

The North Kesteven Mobile Skate Park will be available at a variety of different locations throughout the year for you to come and use. All safety equipment and boards are provided. The mobile skate park is ideal for skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders. Also our mini half pipe is available at most of the locations along with the skate park, so please come along and try it.

A new edition to our mobile facilities is our portable climbing wall, all safety equipment is provided including harnesses and helmets. Our climbing wall operates with an automated belay system - catching you as soon as you let go.
